Last month Gin, the photo blog diva arranged 3 fundraisers for the Weston Scholarship. Kim gave the "Growing Up Weston"  lecture 3 times in 2 weeks! We set up a projector and showed the power point slide show in his studio. Then the groups came up and Kim showed Edward Weston, Brett Weston and his own photographs. Weston Scholarship would like to announce the sale of a Roman Loranc photograph "Beginnings". Yesterday we judged 91 portfolios from our Monterey County high schools and colleges. I got so excited that I forgot to take photographs. But I did take a few! We selected 25 portfolios in all. Today David Casterson brought his Soquel High photography class to our home to see Edward Weston's old darkroom, his photographs, Kim's photographs and Kim's painted photographs. This is the 3rd year that David has visited us at Wildcat Hill. He then takes his students to Point Lobos where they have lunch and get to photograph in the park for the afternoon. What a fun day!
